Reassure Me

A few FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions)

I like what I’ve read so far, so what next?

Phone - +44 (0) 7980 598764 - or email me and let’s get a meeting set up to discuss your PR needs. And you’ll get a better feel for what I can do for your business and judge if I’m the sort of person you can work with.

And then what?

If you opt to go ahead (good decision) we’ll have an initial meeting which allows me to learn more about your company and to thrash out PR priorities, identify key media you want to target, and compile a hit list of potentially newsworthy items which will interest the media. This would be followed up with monthly meetings to assess and fine tune the PR campaign.

Can you guarantee my press release will get coverage?

In a word, no. But I’ve never failed yet. If you expect your press release to appear word-for-word in a specific publication, consider paying for advertising. However, I will guarantee your press release will be written to such a high standard that many publications will use it, as is.

How will I know what’s appeared in the press?

I’ll update you once a month with a progress report of published articles in print and on the web.

You work in Aberdeen and Edinburgh. My business is in Stirling/ Stockholm/ Sienna?

Not a problem. Wherever possible I prefer face-to-face meetings with clients but in this day and age, phone conferencing, email and the web make it possible to work remotely with clients and successfully get your message out to local, national and international media. For example, for three years I handled PR for a company in the United Arab Emirates - and I’ve never visited Dubai.

Bottom line – how much?

Lots and lots. Only joking, but if you’re looking to pay peanuts you’ll get a monkey (or worse, the most junior account exec). And it tells me you’re not that serious about PR. Most clients pay a monthly retainer based on how much work is involved – it’s the most effective way of me learning about your business and growing the campaign as your company grows and needs change. There’s also an admin fee to cover things like phone, postage, fax, email, while photography is an additional charge. If you want a one off-press release service I’m sure we can come to some arrangement.
